Owner, The Lofty Life Aerial Dance, LLC.

Big creativity. Bold movement. A community where everyone belongs.

As the owner of The Lofty Life Aerial Dance in Delavan, Kelsey Hartland has turned an unexpected college adventure into a thriving business that helps people build strength, confidence, and creativity. What began with teaching aerial silks through the Williams Bay Recreation Department in 2018 has grown into a dedicated studio with 10 trained instructors and a community of students who come to learn, challenge themselves, and cheer one another on.

Kelsey’s journey has been full of courage and calculated leaps of faith. When the pandemic disrupted classes, she moved instruction outdoors before opening her own indoor space in 2020. In 2022, she and her husband, Adam, took another big step by purchasing the Delavan property where the studio operates today. Through every stage of growth, Kelsey has remained committed to what matters most: making everyone who walks through the door feel welcomed, supported, and capable of more than they imagined.

That commitment is what truly sets The Lofty Life apart. Kelsey has trained her instructors to create an encouraging environment where students of all ages and experience levels can learn at their own pace. Every achievement is celebrated, classmates cheer each other on, and students travel more than an hour to be part of a community where they feel they belong.

Beyond the studio, Kelsey brings movement and storytelling to life through large-scale aerial productions, local festivals, and international retreats in Costa Rica and Portugal. Her productions combine aerial dance, music, and theater, giving performers opportunities to develop their artistry and share it with the wider community.

A former middle and high school math teacher, Kelsey understands that growth takes patience, encouragement, and the courage to try something unfamiliar. Outside the studio, she's a wife, a new mom, and an adventure enthusiast who loves hiking, camping, skiing, and discovering cozy coffee shops. She's equal parts Ted Lasso, The Greatest Showman, and Leslie Knope—with plenty of creativity and a little goofiness mixed in.

Kelsey has built more than a successful business in Delavan. She's created a place where people find confidence, friendship, and a sense of belonging—and where the biggest wins aren't just the tricks performed in the air, but the people cheering each other on along the way.
