Big Ambitions, a Heart for Animals, and Two Dogs Who Run the Show

Balancing three jobs, college, graduate school, volunteering, and a growing list of personal goals might sound like a lot. For Quinn Moldenhauer, it’s simply a busy week—with two dogs at home who still believe they’re in charge.
An undergraduate student and MBA candidate at the University of Wisconsin–Whitewater, Quinn is combining academic ambition with a genuine passion for making a difference. She maintains a 4.0 GPA, has earned the university’s 2025 Peter J. Barrett Integrity Award, and is pursuing an accelerated path toward completing both her undergraduate degree and MBA. Along the way, she’s gaining professional experience in marketing and financial services while staying active in campus organizations and serving as a peer mentor to fellow students.
But one of Quinn’s most personal projects has four-legged beneficiaries. She founded The Pawprint Project, an initiative that brings people and businesses together to support humane societies through fundraising, volunteering, animal adoption, and advocacy. Her Virtual Pet Costume Contest has raised more than $1,000 for a selected humane society, awarded over $750 in prizes to participants, and partnered with more than 10 local and national businesses. It’s a creative way to turn a little friendly competition—and some excellent pet costumes—into real support for animals in need.
Quinn also volunteers weekly with the Humane Society of Jefferson County, working with small animals and helping with events that raise funds and awareness for animal welfare. Through her efforts, she has contributed more than 100 volunteer hours and hopes to expand The Pawprint Project’s reach across Wisconsin, including the greater Walworth County area.
When she isn’t studying, working, or organizing ways to help animals, Quinn enjoys spending time with Sulley, her Australian Shepherd, and Blu, her Miniature American Shepherd. She has also taken up running and completed five 5Ks this year. For someone who already has a full schedule, adding another challenge seems right on brand.
